Swim Lessons
The Lake Eva Aquatic Center and the Janet J. Smith Aquatic Facility both offer a variety of swim lesson classes through the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program.
All classes are taught by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors.
Swim Lessons are $40.00 per child, per session. Each session is 8 classes.
Registration information for the 2026 swim lesson program will be released in early 2026.
Registration will be available in-person at the Lake Eva Community Center, the Oakland Neighborhood Center, and online using the Community Pass Registration Website.

American Red Cross Centennial Program
Our continued partnership with the American Red Cross Centennial program will allow Haines City Parks & Rec to offer one (1) reduced-rate session per participant (while scholarship funds last).
WaterSmartFL State Voucher
Haines City Parks & Recreation is now a vendor for the WaterSmartFL State Voucher. The purpose of this program is to increase water safety and prevent drowning in Florida by providing free swimming lessons to eligible Florida families.
What is needed to apply for a voucher?
1. Proof of income (gross family income of no more than 200% of the federal poverty guidelines).
2. Proof of Florida residency.
3. Child’s date of birth (only children ages four and younger at the time of application are eligible).
