NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Utilities Department of the City of Haines City, Florida, will hold a public meeting on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. in the City Hall Commission Chambers at 620 East Main Street, Haines City, Florida, for the purpose of hearing all interested parties with respect to the following proposed business item:
The City Commission will consider formally adopting the Haines City Wastewater Facilities Plan (including Business Plan, Environmental Documentation, and Permitting). This meeting will include a discussion of the Wastewater Facilities Plan for the City’s Wastewater Treatment Facility and Reclaimed Water Improvements Project. The public meeting will include a discussion of the selected plan, the various alternatives that were evaluated, the project cost and long-term financial impact on utility customers.
Funding for this project is anticipated to come from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan program, and a portion of the project is expected to receive grant funding from Southwest Florida Water Management District for the reclaimed water storage and pumping components.
