29th Annual Pig Roast, Politcal Rally & Auction - August 5, 2011!

Each year the Haines City-Northeast Polk County Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts Central Florida’s largest political rally: The Pig Roast™ & Political Rally. Our 29th annual Pig Roast™ was held at Haines City's Lake Eva Banquet Hall on August 5, 2011.

Mistress of Ceremonies Marty Bowen introduced the local, county, and state political office holders and candidates, who addressed the excited crowd. Hundreds of attendees enjoyed a fabulous barbecue dinner catered by John Michael Weddings & Special Events, rubbed elbows with well-known and aspiring politicans, and bid on the incredible bargains at the famous Silent and Live Auctions.

Sponsors enjoyed private time with candidates and incumbents at the exclusive VIP Reception held just prior to the main event.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet and greet both candidates and incumbents, listened to candidate speeches, and shopped over 200 items at the celebrated Live and Silent Auctions. Attendees purchased items ranging from football tickets to weekend getaways, donated by businesses and individuals, to help raise funds for the Chamber’s Annual Program of Work.
