City of Haines City

The City of Haines City has a council-manager type of government. Five commission members are elected by the citizens to serve four-year terms. The Mayor and Vice-Mayor are elected annually by the Commissioners. The City Commission is responsible for creating policy and passing ordinances. These policies are implemented by the City’s daily operations which is overseen by the City Manager- Ann Tony-Deal.
